New US tariffs to hit Chinese lithium battery sector

The United States Trade Representative (USTR) has announced a 25% duty on Chinese lithium exports and China-made mineral and mining equipment entering the US.

China's lithium battery manufacturers will be counting the
cost of new tariffs, announced on Friday June 15 by the USTR.
They involve $50 billion worth of Chinese exports being hit by
25% duties, in addition to any other duties already applied.
