China’s magnesia prices steady amid sporadic buying

China’s magnesia export prices are unchanged after the Dragon Boat Festival holiday (June 16-18) due to limited buying interest, with most buyers holding off and waiting for a clear market direction.

Prices in the Chinese magnesia market were unchanged again this week - they have held steady for the past 16 weeks or so - amid low spot demand from refractory producers.

Still, these producers expect prices to fall in the near term if provincial governments remove restrictions on the use of explosives...
