Nemaska signs five-year LCE offtake agreement with South Korea’s LG

A new five-year offtake agreement, starting in 2020, means that the Canadian junior producer has committed more than 90% of its expected output of 33,000 tpy of lithium carbonate equivalent.

Canadian junior lithium producer Nemaska Lithium has signed a five-year offtake agreement with South Korea’s LG Chem for the supply of 7,000 tonnes per year of battery-grade lithium hydroxide from its commercial plant in Shawinigan, Quebec, starting in 2020.
