Chinese soda ash prices hold firm for another week; production stable

Reported factory closures have been dismissed by a Chinese source while prices remain stable for the eighth straight week.

Prices have remained stable for Chinese soda ash this week, breaking the rally caused by decreased production and strong global demand that pushed prices up by $50 per tonne from $250-265 per tonne between March 22 and May 17.
