US soda ash production dips in April amid market tightness

Market tightness in the European Union and United States due to strong demand is being met with flat production from US soda ash producers.

US soda ash production dropped off slightly in April month on month although it was up by 9,000 tonnes compared with the same period last year, according to data published by the US Geological Survey (USGS).
