Ilmenite prices stable amid China’s latest environmental protection campaign

China’s latest environmental protection measures have resulted in lower domestic ilmenite and pigment output in the country, keeping prices for imported ilmenite flat.

The Chinese Ministry of Ecology and Environment’s recent "blue sky" protection campaign has resulted in lower domestic ilmenite output in Panzhihua city, Sichuan, as well as lower pigment production in Shandong province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
