FMC’s lithium business boosts profits on higher prices, volumes

Stronger performances by carbonate and hydroxide producer FMC’s agricultural and lithium divisions boosted profits during the second quarter of 2018, prompting it to raise its full-year revenue expectations.

Higher volumes and prices across all major lithium products, alongside a stronger performance by its agricultural solutions business, brought North America-based FMC Corp to higher revenue and income in the second quarter of 2018.
