Flake graphite prices soften on sellers’ push

Prices for three grades of European flake graphite declined this week as well as one grade of China-origin material, as the impact of the cheaper yuan spreads to graphite trading.

Flake graphite prices into Europe decreased this week due to sellers pushing to secure contracts following a period of low trading, while spreads have increased in some cases due to high-purity material holding its ground.
