Cristal mineral sand operation disrupted by equipment failure [UPDATE]

A section of Cristal Mining's Ginkgo heavy mineral sand floating wet concentration plant is below water, with no indication yet on down-time or how this may affect the miner’s rutile and zircon production.

A section of the wet concentration plant at Cristal Mining’s Australia-based Ginkgo heavy mineral sand operation, located in the New South Wales portion of Murray Basin and roughly 55km from the town of Pooncarie, has taken on water and has been nonoperational since September 15, the miner told Industrial Minerals.
