Chromite market quiet as fourth quarter begins

Prices for chemical-grade chromite were stable in China and Asia this week on low activity, although the market took differing views on the level of demand for foundry sand.

The chromite market has continued to be broadly stable as it begins the fourth quarter of 2018, with activity in China being weak due to national holidays and some prices showing slight adjustments.
