FLUORSPAR 2018: What we learned this year

Supply and demand outlooks and predictions for where prices will be in 2019, as well as expectations for traditional and new end-markets were all discussed at this year's fluorspar conference in South Africa.
Global supply has decreased.
Over 500,000 tonnes of fluorspar came
out of global supply in 2017. This was compounded with another
500,000 tonnes leaving the supply side between 2012-2016 due to
weak pricing in the market.
Market participants expect prices to move.
