China’s NEV output up 64.4% year-on-year in September

China’s output and sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) kept increasing year-on-year in September, supported by the continuing upward momentum of the sector. But lithium prices kept falling on slow buying.

China produced 127,000 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in September 2018, including pure electric vehicles (PEVs) and plug-in hybrids. This volume was up by 64.4% from September last year, according to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
