Kenmare Resources’ output of ilmenite, rutile and zircon declined in the third quarter of this year, despite higher volumes of ore mined. At the same time, persistent electricity supply issues resulted in higher costs for the producer.
Kenmare Resources, a leading global producer of heavy
mineral sands (HMS) from its Moma Titanium Minerals Mine in
northern Mozambique, has reported lower ilmenite, rutile and
zircon output for the third quarter of 2018 despite higher
volumes of ore mined and higher volumes of heavy mineral
concentrates (HMC) produced.
