Developing Asia to continue driving global steel demand in 2019

Developing countries in Asia, excluding China, are expected to be the major drivers of steel demand growth in 2019, according to the chairman of the Worldsteel economics committee.

Developing Asia, particularly Southeast Asia and India, will continue to drive global steel demand in 2019, delegates at the annual conference of the World Steel Association (Worldsteel) heard.
