Rio ramps up titanium slag production following disruptions; RBM labor dispute ongoing

Rio Tinto increased its titanium slag production by 28% in the third quarter of the year, following supply disruptions in the prior quarter. The company also noted that labor disputes at its South Africa-based Richards Bay Minerals (RBM) operation are continuing.

has announced that it is ramping up titanium slag production in
this year’s fourth quarter following disruptions
in the third.
Titanium slag production totaled 297,000 tonnes in the three
months ended September 30, down 28% from the same period
