Acidspar prices continue to rise, with contracts for 2019 settled early

Fastmarkets’ fluorspar price assessments in two markets have risen this week, which reflects the earlier-than-usual settlement of contracts for next year’s supplies, a sign of urgency among buyers.

Prices for next year’s supply of acidspar from South Africa are being settled close to $500 per tonne, which was reflected in Fastmarkets’ latest price assessments.

The most recent assessment of the price for acidspar, 97% CaF2, dry filtercake, fob, Durban, South Africa, was $480-490 per tonne on Thursday...
