Iluka posts weaker-than-expected rutile output, strong zircon production in Q3

There were mixed results in Iluka Resources’ third-quarter review released on Wednesday October 24, with weaker-than-expect rutile production, stable synthetic rutile output and strong zircon production – all three of which are experiencing strong market conditions, according to the company.

Australian Securities Exchange-listed mineral sands producer Iluka Resources reported increased zircon and rutile output for the third quarter of 2018, with the latter falling short of expectations.
