Record ore throughput keeps MRC’s mineral sand production stable

High ore throughput at Mineral Commodities’ Tormin mine was needed to keep heavy mineral sand production rates stable this quarter, with the company reporting about a 10% increase in zircon/rutile and ilmenite concentrate prices.

Australian Stock Exchange-listed mineral sand producer Mineral Commodities Ltd (MRC) has reported a record 664,588 tonnes of ore mined at its South African Tormin mine in the third quarter of this year, up from 549,588 tonnes last quarter, and up from 514,910 tonnes in the same quarter of 2017....
