China’s unshaped refractory materials output down 1.3% in September

Unshaped refractory materials output in China fell slightly in September, attributed to lower production of alumina-silicon refractory materials.

China produced 677,200 tonnes of unshaped refractory materials in September, down 1.32% year on year.

Of the total, 575,700 tonnes were alumina-silicon refractory materials, down by 4.16% from September 2017, and 101,400 tonnes were magnesia-based unshaped refractory materials, an increase of 19.3% annually, according to data from the China’s Association...
