Albemarle positive on FY performance after Q3 lithium earnings rise despite 5% output fall

The lithium producer's operations have returned to normal after interruptions in the three months to the end of September, giving it confidence for the end of 2018 and beyond.

Albemarle expects its full-year adjusted earnings in lithium to rise by more than 20% from a year ago thanks to strong volumes and prices, it said.
