Covia idles more frac sand capacity while demand, prices slip

Frac sand miner Covia has reported falling demand amid an oversupplied market, while it closes more frac sand capacity in the United States.

US frac sand demand has been declining since July this year, Jennifer Deckard Covia’s chief executive said, following the company's decision to idle capacity in Texas.
