Chinese flake graphite prices push higher on winter-related supply tightness

Tight supply and more inquiries this week pushed Chinese flake graphite export prices higher while spherical graphite export prices were stable amid steady demand. European prices held unchanged because of limited pre-Christmas buying.

China’s flake graphite export prices rose this week, reflecting higher offers from producers due to tighter supply because of the winter months and stockpiling by downstream consumers.
