China starts 2019 NEV subsidy policy talks; NEV output up 60% in 2018

China's 2019 new energy vehicle (NEV) subsidy policy is still being worked out, and the general principle is to avoid large fluctuations in the industry after all NEV subsidies cease in 2021.

The minister of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Miao Wei, revealed in a conference on January 12 that Chinese departments are formulating the NEV subsidy policy for 2019.
