Base Resources’ mineral sands output down in Oct-Dec 2018, revises full-year guidance

Lower grade ore grades at Base Resources' Kwale operations has resulted in reduced ilmenite, rutile and zircon output for the December quarter of 2018 compared with the preceding quarter. Subsequently, the miner has revised its production guidance for those minerals in the financial year ending June 30, 2019.

Africa-focused mineral sand miner Base Resources announced on Thursday January 17 that lower ore grades at its Kwale mineral sands operation in Kenya negatively affected the company’s overall ilmenite, rutile and zircon output in the final quarter of 2018.
