Rio Tinto's TiO2-slag production falls 15% vs 2017

Rio Tinto, the world's biggest producer of titanium slag, has reported a fall in production in 2018 after being affected by shutdowns and labor disputes.

Rio Tinto’s production of titanium-dioxide (TiO2) slag fell by 15% year on year to 1.1 million tonnes in 2018 due to furnace shutdowns in Canada and labor disputes in South Africa, the company announced on January 18.
