China’s unshaped refractory materials output down 1.75% in 2018

Unshaped refractory materials output in China dropped slightly in 2018 because of the decreasing production of magnesia-based unshaped refractory material.

China produced a total of 6.59 million tonnes of unshaped refractory materials in 2018, down 1.75% year on year, according to data from the China Association of Refractories.

Alumina-silicon refractory material came to 5.55 million tonnes of the total, an increase of 3.04% from 2017, while 1.04 million tonnes were...
