European AlF3 producers look to expansion as capacity comes offline in China

Production assets for fluorspar outside China are opening up as the East Asian country takes capacity out of the market and prices rise in response.

Record-high prices for fluorspar have pushed the price for aluminium fluoride (AlF3) up considerably, and although it is not connected, it has coincided with capacity being taken out of the market in China.
With some Chinese capacity coming offline, the country’s export volumes have fallen, and now AlF3 producers outside...
