Syrah misses graphite production target, fails to fulfil 2018 contracts

Problems with equipment and plant, as well as a fire, meant that graphite producer Syrah’s Mozambique asset fell significantly short of its full-year production target, but it has expectations of high production in 2019.
Australia-headquartered Syrah Resources produced 104,000
tonnes of graphite in 2018, missing its output target by as
much as 75,000 tonnes and meaning that it was unable to fulfil
its annual contracts.
