Iodine demand increasing 3-5% globally, says Iofina ceo

Demand for iodine is growing 3-5% every year according to the chief executive officer of North American producer Iofina.

"We see a demand increase globally, not just in one region or for only one end use," Iofina ceo Tom Becker told Fastmarkets.

According to Fastmarkets IM calculations, the global iodine market is currently around 30,000 tonnes per year, but Becker believes there is "room to grow" and his company...
