Chinese CCM, FM exports down January 2019

China's caustic calcined magnesia and fused magnesia shipments were down in January 2019 on an annual basis on weaker demand from international buyers, while dead burned magnesia (DBM) exports were up slightly.

China exported 65,317 tonnes of caustic calcined magnesia (CCM) in January 2019, down by 21.2% from 82,946 tonnes in the corresponding month of 2018 due to reducing purchasing from overseas buyers, according to official Chinese data.

Export values totaled $11.66 million, 19.1% lower than $14.41 million achieved...
