Weak demand weighs on China’s magnesia prices

Quiet buying activity and rising stock levels have put Chinese magnesia prices on a downtrend, especially dead burned magnesia and fused magnesia. With the market so flat, producers have lowered their prices to boost cash flow.
China’s magnesia market has softened over the
past week with more lower prices being reported on the spot
market. Weak demand among both domestic and overseas buyers and
increasing stock levels at Chinese producers continued to put
pressure on magnesia prices.
