Chinese antimony trioxide exports rise, prices drop on weak demand

Antimony trioxide prices fob China have been on a downtrend for the past 10 months after suppliers were forced to cut prices on weak demand.

China’s exports of antimony trioxide totaled 3,547 tonnes in January 2019, marking a 39.4% increase from the 2,545 tonnes exported in September 2018, according to Chinese customs data.

Over the same comparison, the price of antimony trioxide – widely used in flame-retardants – declined by 5.4%...
