Light-grade soda ash in undersupply as China price range narrows

The price range for China-origin soda ash has narrowed to its smallest gap for two years at $5 per tonne, with supplies of light-grade material becoming tight.

The prices for light and dense grades of Chinese soda ash are now almost the same because the supply of light-grade material has become tight, sources in China told Fastmarkets on Thursday March 14.
