Altura pauses lithium spodumene production due to Cyclone Veronica

Australian lithium spodumene producer Altura Mining announced on March 25 that it had temporarily ceased lithium spodumene production at its Pilgangoora lithium mine in Western Australia due to threat from Cyclone Veronica. Shipments of material were also stopped.

Altura Mining completed lockdown procedures at its lithium spodumene production plant in Western Australia on March 23, halting production and evacuating all staff with the exception of a 23-person skeleton crew, the company said on Monday March 25.
