SQM’s iodine stocks now depleted, source says

The world’s largest iodine producer, SQM, has now sold off all its stocks and can only sell the amount produced while it ramps up output after its latest capacity expansion.

Chilean miner SQM has now depleted its iodine inventories despite its current ramp-up toward output of 14,000 tonnes per year of the material, according to a source with knowledge of the matter.
