Radioactive waste dispute threatens rare earth producer Lynas’ future

The auditors of rare earth producer Lynas have warned that an ongoing legal dispute with the Malaysian government is at risk of threatening the company’s future.

Auditors Ernst & Young warned in a note on Lynas’ quarterly results on February 28 that conditions issued by the Malaysian government "cast significant doubt about the consolidated entity’s ability to continue as a going concern."
