Latin America's steel use to grow less than expected in 2019

At the current pace of consumption, Latin American steel use miss earlier targets of 70.6 million tonnes in 2019.

Latin America's apparent steel use is expected to grow by 2.80% in 2019, despite weaker demand in Argentina, according to regional steel association Alacero. 

Apparent steel consumption is expected to reach 68.90 million tonnes in 2019, up from 67 million tonnes in 2018, Alacero said....
