Rapid mining outweighs falling ore grade at Kenmare's Moma mine

Mineral sand miner Kenmare has reported rising ore extraction at its Moma mine in Mozambique, while the pace of mining more than compensated for a sharp drop in ore grade.

On April 11, Kenmare announced it had increased its ore mining by 19% year on year in the first quarter of 2019 (January-March), with heavy mineral concentrate production up by 15% over the same period.
