By IM Staff
Published: Tuesday, 16 April 2019
Fastmarkets IM has decided to extend the consultation period on its proposal to discontinue the US fluorspar price again.
On February
15, Fastmarkets IM had proposed to discontinue the fluorspar
price for the following grade:
Acidspar, 97%
CaF2, wet filtercake, cif, US Gulf Port, USA, $ per
tonne
During the first
consultation period, which ended on March 15, Fastmarkets
IM received feedback from the market that indicates the need
for further engagement on the proposal.
Fastmarkets IM then rolled over the consultation
period for another month that ended on April 15.
There has been fruitful engagement with market participants
throughout the initial consultation periods, however, to ensure
that all information is being taken into account before any
potential changes are made to this assessed price Fastmarkets
IM has decided to extend the consultation period again.
The extended consultation period will end two months from the
date of this pricing notice on Monday June 17, with changes
taking place from Tuesday June 18.
Fastmarkets IM remains committed to the fluorspar market and
will continue to track its evolution and progress, providing
appropriate pricing mechanisms where needed.
