SQM’s iodine stocks now depleted, source says

SQM has some operational stocks of iodine available but the levels have been depleted despite a ramp-up of output. Some buyers have only a few weeks’-worth of stock available.

Chilean miner SQM has now depleted its iodine inventories despite its current ramp-up toward output of 14,000 tonnes per year of the material, according to a source with knowledge of the matter.
