Offer prices for iodine were rejected by one consumer, while another was looking for cheaper sources of supply although the market was still facing upward price pressure.
The iodine spot market held firm for a second week on
Thursday May 2 with consumers rejecting offers and searching
for lower priced material.
A full container was offered by a Chilean producer at a
price of just under $29 per kg to a consumer in the Americas.
