Hi Crush sales fall on lower frac sand price

A shift toward the use of locally procured sand, and lower overall prices for frac sand, put pressure on US miner Hi Crush’s earnings in the first quarter of 2019.

US frac sand miner Hi Crush has reported a sharp drop in proppant sales prices in the first quarter of 2018, compared with the corresponding period in 2018, according to a quarterly report published on Tuesday May 7.
