Chromite market continues to depreciate

Prices for both wet bulk and dried-and-bagged foundry-grade chromite have contracted further, while the chemical-grade price has also fallen.

Market prices in non-metallurgical chromite have continued to soften over the past week, dogged by high supply and demand that was insufficient to absorb the available volumes.

Market participants reported a bearish scenario characterized by high inventories, both at points of origin and at main destination ports and distribution warehouses....
