LITHIUM CONF: High-content nickel batteries to remain predominant

Use of lithium-ion batteries containing more than 60% nickel is growing but will not dominate for the next few years, delegates at Fastmarkets’ 11th Lithium Supply and Markets Conference in Santiago said.

Lithium-ion batteries with higher nickel content will be predominant in the coming years while the industry searches for improved electrical capacity, market participants said during Fastmarkets’ 11th Lithium Supply and Markets Conference on Monday June 10.
