Spreads in brown fused alumina prices increase as market mulls direction

Refractory grade brown fused alumina (BFA) sellers report thin trading conditions on low demand, but concerns over availability are sending mixed messages to the market, sources said this week.

Price differentials in refractory grade BFA increased during the past fortnight as conflicting reports on availability contrasted with weak demand from consuming markets.
