China’s unshaped refractory materials output up 4% in May

Unshaped refractory materials output in China increased slightly in May year on year, attributed to increasing production of alumina-silicon refractory material.

China produced 595,400 tonnes of unshaped refractory materials in May, up 4.42% against the previous year.

Of the total, 501,900 tonnes were alumina-silicon refractory materials, up 6.22% from May 2018, and 93,500 tonnes were magnesia-based unshaped refractory materials, a decrease of 4.26% annually, according to data from the...
