Sheffield Resources signs offtake deal for unroasted ilmenite

Australian miner Sheffield Resources will sell non-upgraded ilmenite to concentrate on its zircon production.

Sheffield Resources has signed a binding offtake agreement for the unprocessed ilmenite produced at its Thunderbird project as part of its strategic refocusing from ilmenite upgrading to zircon production.

In June 2019, Sheffield reported that it would delay construction of its ilmenite roasting facilities at the Thunderbird project in Western Australia...
