Sheffield upgrades estimates of zircon reserve at Thunderbird

Australian miner Sheffield is focusing on zircon production to meet a growing shortage.

Australian miner Sheffield Resources has released updated estimates of the ore reserve at its Thunderbird mineral sand mine, suggesting very high levels of zircon.

Sheffield increased its estimate of the ore reserve at its Thunderbird project in Western Australia to 748 million tonnes at 11.2% heavy mineral content, an increase of 10%....
