Planned magnesite production halt steadies Chinese magnesia export prices

The Chinese magnesia market stabilized this week after news of a three-month stoppage of magnesite mining in China ending October 31 prompted downstream buyers to send more inquiries.

The recent downtrend in Chinese magnesia prices halted this week on increased inquiries from buyers following news that Liaoning Magnesite Mining Co (LMMC) will suspend magnesite mining for three months from August.
