Steam shortage causes soda ash production cut in Romania, sources say [UPDATE]

Questions over the supply of steam necessary to manufacture soda ash reportedly caused a reduction in output at Ciech’s plant in Romania.

Polish chemical manufacturer Ciech’s soda ash-producing asset in Romania is operating at 80% of capacity due to "incomplete delivery of steam from the state partner," it said.
